Mrs. Mildred "Mickey" Brown Grisham, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010. Mrs. Grisham was born in Little Rock, a daughter of the late James Fenner Brown and Alma Dyson Brown Murray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Carroll Grisham; her granddaughter, Melissa M. Bernard; and by a sister and a brother.

She was a former resident of Jefferson County and Conway and made Aiken, S.C., her home since 2000. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church where she volunteered in the church office and taught Sunday school. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carole M. Smith, Aiken, S.C., the Rev. Dr. Nancy Grisham, Wheaton, Ill.; a grandson, C. David Martindale; great grandchildren, Grisham, Alexandria, Miah Blue and Weslyn Bernard; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, James "Buzz" Brown, Beaumont, Texas.

The family has requested that memorials be sent to Livin’ Ignited, P.O. Box 1233, Wheaton, Ill., 60187, in lieu of flowers.  

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Aiken, S.C. with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Leopard officiating. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.
