Margie Jean Kisner, 86, died Thursday morning, Jan. 13, 2011, in Conway, at St. Andrew’s Nursing Home.
She was born March 6, 1924, in Numa, Iowa, to Charles and Irene (Lepper) Kelse.
She was married to the late Donald Ray Kisner for 64 years, and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2008.
Margie was a resident of Okmulgee for 63 years and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Okmulgee where she played the organ, taught Sunday school and led the L.I.F.T. group and was involved in Missionary Ministries. She was a loving generous mother, grandmother and friend. She held her children, grandchildren, family and friends close to her heart. Those who cared for her the last two years knew how precious family was to her.
Margie is survived by her children, Donna King of Edmond, Okla., Nancy and husband Mike McCreedy of Chanute, Kan., Cynthia and husband Mark Daniels of Conway, and Tim Kisner of Okmulgee, Okla.; grandchildren, Tommy King of Oklahoma City, Angela King and Alicia King, both of Cameron, Okla., Alora King of Jones, Okla., Don McCreedy of Topeka, Kan., Michael McCreedy of Kansas City, Mo., Ginger and Reed Hardgrave, and Clifton Mills, all of Conway, and Adam Daniels of Dallas, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Montie and his wife Wilda Kelse of Okmulgee; and many friends and other relatives.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 17, 2011, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Okmulgee. Tim Kellerman from the First Nazarene Church in Conway, and Marvin Buell of Okmulgee officiated.
Interment followed at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
The casketbearers were Tommy King, Michael McCreedy, Clifton Mills, Reed Hardgrave, Adam Daniels, Ricky Peterson and Tommy Howell.
