Winter weather, which delayed the start of a regional tournaments at various sites in the state Wednesday, struck again Thursday.
Thursday's Class A Region 3 tournament games at Greers Ferry West Side have been postponed until Friday at the same times, moving the tournament back a day.
That means that Guy-Perkins' girls, which were to play Concord in Thursday's first-round game at 7 p.m., will now play Friday at the same time.
Mount Vernon-Enola's girls, which won their first-round game Wednesday, will play their semifinal game Saturday at a time to be announced, instead of Friday. The finals will now be played Monday instead of Saturday.
Wednesday's first-round games at Magazine (Logan County), involving St. Joseph and Conway Christian, were postponed. Contrary to the Arkansas Activities Association's website, which indicated on the brackets the tournament had been postponed until Friday, that regional opened a day late Thursday evening. Games orginally scheduled for Thursday will be played Friday, including St. Joseph's girls vs. Hackett, 4 p.m., and Conway Christian's boys vs. Decactur, 5:30 p.m.
