ARKADELPHIA (AP) — Former Conway High star Micah Delph has transferred from Stephen F. Austin to Ouachita Baptist University.
OBU head basketball coach Dennis Nutt said in a news release Friday that Delph — a son of former Arkansas Razorback standout Marvin Delph — will join the Tiger basketball team.
Delph played sparingly for the Lumberjacks his freshman season. SFA is a NCAA Division I school in the Southland Conference. OBU is Division II in the new Great American Conference. He played in 19 of 31 games and averaged 1.5 points per game while playing an average of 6.6 minutes per game.
Delph helped lead Conway to the 7A state championship in 2010. A high school teammate, Colt Fason, plays for OBU.
