Andrew Hopkins, a former University of Central Arkansas golfer and assistant women’s coach, has acquired his card on the Canadian Professional Golf Tour.

His first tournament will be June 7 at Victoria, British Columbia.

Hopkins, from Maumelle who played high school golf at Arkansas Baptist, will become the second UCA golfer (Steven Lecuyer is the other) to gain an exemption on the Canadian tour.

The University of Central Arkansas Boys Soccer Senior Academy Camp will be held July 15-19 for boys, ages 15 thorough 19.

The Holiday Island Rotary Club Detwiller/Lehr Golf Tournament will be Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25-26, at Holiday Island Golf Club.

Format is a two-person scramble with flights determined for the second round. Entry fee is $300 per team. Proceeds will beneit Rotary Club charities.
