Faulkner County athletic teams will be involved in several preason events this weekend to introduce the latest teams to fans.

Some of the major events:

It’s an annual series of preseason intrasquad scrimmages for football and volleyball in Conway Public Schools.

The volleyball teams will play their contests from 2-5 p.m. at Buzz Bolding Arena. The football teams, seventh through varsity, will begin a series of scimmages at 5:30 p.m at John McConnell Stadium.

Admission, which includes a barbecue dinner, is $7. Games-only admission is $3.

Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Bears will have their second major scrimmage of the preseason at 3:45 p.m. at First Security Field at Estes Stadium.

The scrimmages will involve to 75 to 90 plays, Conway coach Clint Conque said.

There will be no admission charge.

The Sugar Bear volleyball team will have its annual alumni game at 2:30 p.m. at the Prince Center.

The Panthers’ annual Blue-White scrimmages, involving both junior and senior high football teams, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Don Jones Stadium.

Friday is "Meet The Eagles Night."

All members of fall sports teams at CCS will be recognized during the event that begins at 6 p.m. at Mission Field.

There is no admission charge.
