The weekly Bearbacker luncheons, for supporters of University of Central Arkansas athletics, will begin Monday, returning to a former location.

The luncheons, which feature an entree, dessert and drink for $8, will be held this year at 11:45 a.m. at the Hall of Fame Room at Estes Stadium.

Each week, UCA football coach Clint Conque or a member of his staff will analyze Saturday’s game and give updates on the program. Coaches in other sports will also make appearances. The luncheons continue through basketball season.

Registration for fall baseball in Conway city youth leagues will end at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Fee is $60 per child. A registration form can be obtained at www.conwayparks.com and a completed copy of the form should be brought to the Conway Sports Center along with payment by cash or check.

The season begins the week of Oct. 1, and teams will play eight games.

The second Hippo Crafton Memorial Golf Tournament will be Friday, Sept. 21, at The Greens at Nutters Chapel.

The golf tournament will benefit the Faulkner County Boys and Girls Club and Rotary’s PolioPlus, a polio eradication program.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The top three teams receive cash prizes. Hole sponsorships are available at several levels.
