GREENBRIER — Greenbrier’s junior girls went 1-1 in two home basketball games this week.

Harrison defeated the Lady Panthers, 36-33. Kory Westerman led with 13 points and Ali Skudlark added 12.

On Thursday the Panthers defeated Little Rock Christian, 33-25, to improve to 2-0 in conference play and 5-3 overall. Skudlark had 19 points and Kory Westerman had nine. Charli Short added five.


St. Joseph’s junior boys used a balanced scoring attack Thursday in taking a 26-21 victory over Atkins.

Owen Echols had seven points and four steals for the Bulldogs (8-2) and Nathan Hambuchen added six points, five rebounds and three steals. Noah Bray had five points and David Beck had four points and eight rebounds. Landon Bruich had six rebounds.

Atkins won the junior girls game, 30-29. Rachel Prall had 16 points and six rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs. Amber Briggler added six points, five rebounds and four assists. Mary Rose Siebenmorgan had four points and four steals.

The Lady Bulldogs won the seventh-grade girls game, 14-10. Brianna Wells had eight points. Atkins won the seventh-grade boys game, 27-18. Clayton Heathscott had six points and Jason Kordsmeier had four.


Conway White defeated Morrilton, 42-8, in girls eighth-grade basketball Thursday night.

J.J. Tufu led the Kittens with 10 points, two steals and an assist. Bianca Dugger added eight points and seven steals. Jessica Sipes had four points two steals and an assist. Jerika Hughes had six points and one steal. Anna-Lee Dennar had four points and two steals. Akayah Grigsby and Deja Broycles had four points and Maggie Evans added two.

In the ninth-grade boys game, Conway won, 42-36. Tommy Wardlow had 10 points and Breylin Smith had nine for Conway.


Carl Stuart defeated Ruth Doyle’s seventh-graders, 24-6, in basketball Thursday night. Toneka Webb had four ponts for Ruth Doyle. Lauren Brockman and Tierra Bonner added a point.
