LOG CABIN DEMOCRAT

Thirteen gymnasts from Sonshine Academy either won or placed in the top three in individual events or the all-around in their level and age group at the Sonshine Academy Invitational.

In the Level 4 Ttam division, Michael Frost placed second on the floor, vault, and in the all-around; and 1st on the parallel bars and high bar. Jesse Easley placed third on the rings and second on parallel bars. Josh Barbee placed first on the floor, vault, pommel horse, rings and in the all-around. John Sutton placed second on pommel horse. The Level 4 boys were third in the team competition.

In Level 5, Cullen Odem placed third on the pommel horse, rings, and vault; second on the parallel bars, high bar, and in the all-around; and won the floor exercises. Blake Hopkins placed third on the pommel horse and rings, and second on floor and won the vault. Andrew Hare placed second on the vault. Jay Krisle placed second on the rings. Haden Ray placed second on the pommel horse; and first on the vault, parallel bars, high bar and in the all-around. The Level 5 boys won the team competition.

Josh Farewell was the only Level 6 gymnast from Sonshine and placed second on the pommel horse, parallel bars, and high bar, and first on the floor, rings, vault, and in the all-around.

Jake Fisher and Michael Rickles were the only Level 8 gymnasts representing Sonshine. Rickles placed second on the pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, high bar and in the all-around; and first on the floor. Fisher placed second on the floor and first on the pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, high bar, and in the all-around.
