The 2018 state basketball tournament schedules have been set and seven Faulkner County teams have qualified.

In the 7A girls bracket, the Conway Lady Cats finished the season on a five-game winning streak, including a 56-52 win over Northside, to lock up the No. 1 seed from the 7A Central. The Lady Cats finished 25-3 while going 12-2 in 7A Central competition. They 12-2 record tied with North Little Rock and Northside but gained the top seed on a tiebreaker.

Because the Lady Cats have a top seed, they will have a first round bye and will play the winner of Van Buren and Bryant at 4 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock.

On the boys side, Conway will be the No. 3 seed. The Wampus Cats finished 17-10 overall and 8-6 in 7A Central play, finishing behind North Little Rock and Northside.

Conway is matched with the No. 6 seed Rogers Heritage from the 7A West at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The War Eagles finished the regular season with an 18-10 overall record, while going 6-8 in the 7A West.

In the 5A girls bracket, the Vilonia girls lost in the final game of the 5A West Conference Tournament to Farmington, which will give the Lady Eagles the No. 2 seed from the 5A West. Vilonia finished the regular season with a 24-5 overall record with a 12-3 5A West record.

The Lady Eagles will face off against the 5A South’s No. 3 seed, Hot Springs  Lakeside at 1 p.m. Thursday in Maumelle. During the regular season, Lakeside finished the season with a 20-9 overall record, while finishing 10-6 in the 5A South.

On the boys side, the Greenbrier Panther boys team finished the 5A West Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed. During the regular season, the Panthers finished with 21 wins, which is the most the team has won in several years, but also lost 10 games. In 5A West play, Greenbrier went 11-2.

The Panthers will play the 5A South’s No. 1, seed Hot Spring,s at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Maumelle. The Trojans finished the regular season with a 22-11 record overall with a 15-2 record in the 5A South.

In the 1A state boys tournament, Guy-Perkins locked up a No. 1 seed from Region 3 and will have a first-round bye after beating Mount Vernon-Enola 74-63 in the final of the Region 3 tournament. During the regular season, the Thunderbirds finished with a 32-8 overall record, including an 11-1 conference record.

Guy-Perkins will play the winner of Dermott and Scranton at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Morrilton.

MV-Enola will be a No. 2 Region 3 seed. The Warhawks played to a 28-8 overall record during the regular season. The Warhawks have a first round bye, but will face off against the second Region 4 seed Acorn in the second round at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Morrilton.

Acorn finished the regular season with a 22-12 overall record.

In the girls bracket, the MV-Enola girls goes into the 1A state tournament as the second Region 3 seed.

The Lady Warhawks will also have a first-round bye and will play the second Region 4 seed Acorn in the second round at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Morrilton.

MV-Enola finished the regular season with a 31-8 overall record, while Acorn finished the regular season with a 27-7 overall record.
