For the opening of a three-game series Thursday at Bear Stadium, the University of Central Arkansas baseball team unleashed a 15-hit attack ion a 12-1 victory over Northwestern State.
Tyler Gray pitched eight innings and allowed five hits in picking up the win for the Bears (15-10, 8-2). The Demons fell to 13-12, 3-3.
Hunter Strong led the UCA onslaught, going 4 for 5 with three RBI. Rigo Aguilar had two hits and three RBI. William Hancock had two hits, two RBI and a home run. Tyler Smith and Josh Somdecerff also had two hits.

Hendrix's Sam Tucker allowed five hits in eight innings to lead Hendrix's baseball team to a 3-0 victory over University of the Ozarks at Warrior Field.
Sean Dehne went 3 for 4 for the Warriors (8-16). Drew Judson was 2 for 4. Gerard Turner was 2 for 4 with two RBI.
