FAYETTEVILLE — Despite the opportunities created by the graduations of 2017-2018 senior All-SEC guards Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon and starting point guard Anton Beard, Razorbacks sophomore to be guards Darious Hall of Little Rock Mills and junior to be C.J. Jones of Birmingham, Ala. are transferring from the University of Arkansas at the close of the spring semester.
Arkansas coach Mike Anderson confirmed that Hall and Jones have requested their releases to transfer.
““Darious and C.J. have decided to transfer from our program,” Anderson said Wednesday via a UA press release. “I appreciate them coming to the University of Arkansas and wish them the best moving forward.”
Hall played in every game, including starting in five, for the 23-12 Razorbacks while averaging 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Jones, a 2-year letterman playing all 35 games off the bench in 2017-2018 averaged 6.3 point and 1.4 rebounds.
Though Jones and Hall depart, the Razorbacks received huge news when 6-11 sophomore to be Daniel Gafford, named to the All-SEC Freshman team and considered a strong NBA prospect, announced he is returning to the UA for his sophomore 2018-2019 season and not entering this summer’s NBA draft.
