Central Baptist College's baseball team (22-22, 13-14 American Midwest Conference) beat the rain Friday morning in completing a sweep of Williams Baptist (9-30, 3-20) with a 14-4 victory at Victory Field at Conway Christian.

Hunter Marshall started and picked up the win and Ty Houser relieved him for his second save.

CBC launched five home runs in the contest, including a pair from Brett Luna and one each from Baker Wilson, Austin Kuchinski and Ryan Guyton.

Thursday, CBC swept the Eagles, 4-0 and 6-3.

Jose Delmar struck out 10 and was was the winner in the first game while Ben Madison struck out 15 in the nightcap, 11 out of the first 12 batters he faced..

Austin Allen had hits in both games, including three doubles, while Charley Harber had an RBI in each game.

CBC will take on Harding at Dickey-Stephens Park at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

CBC softball

Central Baptist (19-16) had an easy time Thursday in sweeping a softball doubleheader from Ecclesia College (0-14), 9-0 and 20-2.

Brooke Trout earned her first complete-game shutout one the first game while Rachel Gregory threw a complete game to pick up the win in game two.

The Mustangs got home runs from Anna Beth Duncan and Hunter Clark in the first game, while Allison Seats, Kaylee St. John, Shayla Irving and Allison Skelton all homered in game two.

CCS girls soccer

The Conway Christian girls soccer team took a 1-0 victory Thursday over Batesville Southside.

Kendra Lea scored an early goal off of a corner kick from Rachel Ledbetter. he Lady Eagles are now 3-2 in conference.
