University of Central Arkansas signee Spencer Jenkins was medalist at the 38th annual 2018 Bubba Conlee National on Friday at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Jenkins, from Eads, Tennessee, (Christian Brothers High School), shot rounds of 65-70-68 for a 7-under 203.

Jenkins beat Austin Coggin of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, by two strokes.

Jenkins strung together nine consecutive pars on his way to a 2-under 68 at Quail Ridge Golf Course.

It gave him a two-shot victory over Austin Coggin of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

Jenkins and Coggin began the final day tied for the lead at 5-under, but Jenkins' final-round 68 made the difference. Coggin was 3 under on his front nine but 3-over on the back. An even-par 70 left him 5-under for the event while Jenkins was 7-under.

Jenkins carded three birdies in his final round, and had seven in his first-round 65, the lowest round by any player in the tournament.

The Bubba Conlee National Junior Golf Tournament, one of the MidSouth's finest junior events, is dedicated to the life of James Larry "Bubba" Conlee, Jr., one of the best young golfers in the Mid-South who tragically died at the peak of his junior golf career.
