The Toad Suck Lions, a select group of former local star basketball players, will take on the Harlem Ambassadors in a fundraising game at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hendrix Wellness and Athletic Center.

The Ambassadors, who perform shows for civic clubs and charity groups throughout the country, play a fast-moving, slam-dunking style of basketball that is sprinkled with segments of entertainment routines.

The Lions will feature three Conway head coaches, Corliss Williamson of UCA, Thad McCracken of Hendrix and Ashley Nance of Conway High, along with standout players of the past that includes former Hendrix All-American Lawson Pilgrim. They will be coached by legendary coaches Cliff Garrison of Hendrix and Don Dyer of UCA along with former Wampus Cat and Razorback star Marvin Delph.

The Greenbrier Eastside Little Dribblers will perform at halftime.

Tickets at the door are $9 for students and $11 for adults. Children under age 4 will be admitted free.

Proceeds will go to the Conway Noon Lions Club to help its efforts to provide free glasses and eyecare to the blind and visually impaired in Faulkner County.
