The Vilonia girls bowling team won their second consecutive state championship in Hot Springs.

Team members were Tiffany Smith, Catherine Yahn, Breanna Allen, Kelsey Theall, Natalie Oliver, Danielle Nicpan, Rachel Wilstrap, and Sarah Montgomery.

Smith won the state individual title with a three-game total of 606.  Yahn was sixth overall with a total of 533. Both Smith and Yahn received all-state honors.

The Vilonia boys finished seventh overall, and had some of their finest performances of the season. Zac Bowling finished in third place over all with a 628 total. He also earned all-state honors. CORRECTION: The Log Cabin Democrat in a recent edition incorrectly spelled the name of the top boys bowler on the St. Joseph team.

Garrott Grahholm finished fifth individually in the Class 1A-3A tournament at the Conway Family Bowl, helping the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the state tournament.
