MCPHERSON, Kan. — Central Baptist College soccer teams won two one-goal matches Thursday in the National Christian College Association regional tournament here at Central Christian College.

The CBC men defeated Central Christian, 2-1. The women downed Oklahoma Wesleyan 1-0.

The Mustangs scored both of their goals within 2:32 of the first half. Goals wre by Sabelo Hlongwane and Ryan Pelser, who also had an assist. Hlongwane scored at 14:37 off an assists by Pelser. Pelson scored at 17:09 off an assist from Caleb Dayer. Charlie Schlott scored Central Christian’s only goal at 76:34.

Chance Murphy had three saves for the Mustangs. CBC had an 11-4 advantage on shots-on-goal.

Kaylee Coffman scored the Lady Mustangs’ only goal at 20:38 of the first half. Erin Turner had the assist. Rachel Rogers had three saves for the Lady Mustangs. The Lady Mustangs had a 3-2 edge on shots-on-goal.
