FRISCO, Texas — The University of Central Arkansas had 66 student-athletes named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes who competed in a fall sport and achieved a 3.00 grade point average during the semester.     

 UCA was tied with Lamar for the fourth most in the league. Of UCA’s 66 selections, 11 recorded a 4.00 GPA during the semester: Logan Dockery and Martin Resendiz from men’s cross country, Caroline Benton, Kayla Nehus and Emily Noble from women’s cross country, Kirby O’Meara and Marcel Threat from football, Elizabeth Brady and Julie Foerster from women’s soccer and Cristin Curl and Chloe Smith from volleyball.    

 Smith was named Southland Conference Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Year for the the third consecutive season last month. She was also the three-time conference player of the year.    

Football had the most representatives with 24, followed by women’s soccer (14), volleyball (10), women’s cross country (10) and men’s cross country (8).
