Carthage College senior Cory Childs scored five goals to lead the Red Men to a 13-9 lacrosse win over Hendrix College on Sunday morning at Warrior Field. 

Childs was one of four players to score multiple goals for Carthage.

Hendrix started the game off with two goals inside a 20-second span. Freshman Cameron Millstone scored an unassisted goal with 9:15 on the clock and senior Dan Fox netted a goal off an assist from junior Ben Nelson with 8:54 left in the first quarter.

Warriors’ sophomore David Davis, Jr. scored twice before halftime, however the Red Men also added two goals in the last three minutes to take a 6-4 lead into the break.

Carthage outscored Hendrix 5-3 in the third quarter and both teams scored twice in the final quarter.

Hendrix junior goalkeeper Keith Clemens made 11 saves.

Davis led Hendrix with three goals, while Nelson and Millstone added two goals apiece.
