SAN ANTONIO, Texas. — Trinity University scored Sunday’s game-winning run on a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth to take an 8-7 baseball win over Hendrix College on Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Baseball Field.

Trinity (11-1, 5-0 SCAC) completed the weekend sweep and takes a 3-0 lead in the season series. Hendrix (3-7, 3-5 SCAC) will host Denison University on Friday and Saturday in a three-game set. 

Hendrix jumped out to a 2-0 lead after freshman Jacob Perschke drove in a pair with the bases loaded in the first inning. Trinity answered with a run in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly.

Warriors’ first year Collin Radack was 4-for-5 at the plate with a double and two runs scored. Jacob Perschke finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI. Clark Sims went 3-for-5 from the leadoff spot with an RBI and junior Mark Vlaskamp was 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored.
