The Hendrix College women’s soccer team recorded its fourth shutout in five games with a 2-0 victory over Central Baptist at Warrior Field on Tuesday night. 

The Warriors (4-4) received a combined shutout effort from junior Megan Childress and senior Allison Mosley, who split time and recorded four and five saves, respectively.

Hendrix scored both its goals in the first half. Junior midfielder Morgan Scott scored her third goal of the season to put the Warriors up 1-0 in the 17th minute. Junior midfielder Rebecca Rahn scored after stealing a pass from CBC (1-4) keeper Tiffany Ward and putting in the net from 25 yards out in the 42nd minute. The goal was a team-leading sixth for Rahn.

Hendrix outshot CBC 18-15 and had an 11-9 shots on goal advantage. Ward recorded seven saves for the Lady Mustangs and the CBC defense recorded two team saves.

The Warriors will be back in action Sunday when they host Lyon College at 5 p.m.
