SUWANEE, Ga. — Hendrix College freshman goalkeeper Betsy Kelly was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Kelly recorded a season-high 10 saves and did not allow a goal in 100 minutes of play at Lindenwood University, before losing 3-1 in a penalty stroke-off. Kelly’s award pushes the Warriors’ tally to six players of the week this season.

Kelly and Hendrix will be back in action Saturday when they host conference rival Rhodes College at 1 p.m.
