SHREVEPORT, La. - The Hendrix College swimming teams competed in their second meet in three days, taking on Austin College and Centenary College in Shreveport, La. on Saturday afternoon. The Warrior women won two events on the day.

Senior Vanessa Morris won the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:19.901. Freshman Sydney Haldeman of Conway took first in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.69. Freshman Laura Price was third in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:13.01 and third in the 500 yard freestyle in 5:51.32. Haldeman placed second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:29.48. Morris swam the 100 freestyle in 59.13 sec., good for second place. Freshman Kaia Duke finished third in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:27.41. The Warrior 4x100 freestyle relay team of Morris, Duke, Emily Hanson and Ava Commissariat finished second in 1:56.96

For the men, sophomore Matthew Larson finished second in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:17.68. Junior Justin Flanagan finished the 100 yard butterfly in 59.00 sec. Freshman Joseph Schmits finished second in the 100 yard breastroke in 1:20.99 and senior Alex Koeppel was third in 1:26.01.

The Warriors will host the 44th Annual Hendrix Classic at Bob Courtway pool on Friday.
