The Central Baptist College soccer teams picked up senior day wins over York College on Saturday to qualify for the MCAC Conference tournament in their first year as an NAIA member.

The CBC men defeated York 4-3 and captured the fourth seed heading tournament action Friday at Bartlesville, Olka.

Daniel Porras and Sabelo Hlongwane (Johannesburg, South Africa) each scored a first-half goal to give the Mustangs a 2-1 lead at halftime. T.J. Rodriguez had a pair of goals in the second half to help CBC take the win.

On the women’s side, CBC recorded a 1-0 win after Abby Mallett of Greenbrier scored a first-half goal. Goal keeper Leah Crook helped the Lady Mustangs, who finished third in conference play and will begin tournament action Friday in Omaha, Neb., complete the shutout.

Should CBC win twice in the conference tournament, they would qualify for the national tournament.
