The University of Central Arkansas tennis team broke a four-game losing streak Sunday with a 4-3 victory over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks at the Mabee Center at Hendrix.

In singles action, UCA got wins at the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 spots. Simona Horsikyan picked up her second singles win of the year with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Nikole Novikona. At No. 3 singles, Allison Murphy downed Jessica Courtnell, 6-4, 6-1.

In doubles play, SEMO’s Nikole Novikova and Elizabeth Nyenwe get the best of Allison Hartman and Murphy 8-4. However, S. Horsikyan and Kazumi Otani took an 8-4 win over Courtnell and Heather Robinson. Kristina Horsikyan and Ruocco then secured the doubles point with an 8-3 victory over Melissa Martin and Lauren Schaper.
