The Hendrix College men’s and women’s swimming AND diving programs earned the Team Scholar All-America Award given by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. 

The Warrior men recorded a cumulative grade-point average of 3.40, the 14th highest in NCAA Division III, and the women had a 3.34 GPA.

The Team Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. 

Also, senior Alex Koeppel was selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Character AND Community Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19. 

Over the past year, Koeppel has serviced his home community of Dallas, Texas by volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank and volunteered for a local club swim team. He has been recognized by Hendrix head coach Jim Kelly for his sportsmanship, interpersonal, management and leadership skills and commitment and dedication to the team. Koeppel also serves as a computer science tutor for the Hendrix College Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
