The University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees on Friday gave head football coach Clint Conque a two-year contract extension and a $5,000 raise.

Tom Courtway, UCA president said, the $5,000 will come entirely from private funds. “The state portion of that ($106,000 per year) remains the same,” he said.

He currently makes $133,000 a year, $27,000 of that in private funds. His new contract will have $33,000 from private funds.

The two-year extension runs Conque’s contract through 2015.

Conque has been UCA’s coach since 2000 and led the Bears last year to their first NCAA FCS playoff experience. UCA, which finished 9-4, made the second round of the playoffs before losing to Montana.
