The Hendrix College men's lacrosse lost to Mount Ida College 7-1 at Warrior Field on Sunday afternoon.

The visiting Mustangs (1-1) outshot the Warriors (0-2) 43-18 and had a 44-31 ground balls advantage.



Sophomore midfielder Cameron Millstone scored his second goal of the season with 2:02 left to play for the Warriors' lone goal.



Millstone took seven shots, six on goal, and was 7-of-9 on faceoffs with four ground balls. Senior goalkeeper Keith Clemens recorded 20 saves and had a team-high seven ground balls. Junior defenseman Robert McCarthy came up with five ground balls and four caused turnovers and senior defenseman James Hanson also had five ground balls and two caused turnovers.




The Warriors will return to action on Friday when they host Augustana (Ill.) College on Friday night at 7 p.m.
