The Hendrix College baseball team opened its 2012 home slate by sweeping Webster University 4-3 in 10 innings and 9-5 in seven innings on Saturday at Warrior Field.

The Warriors recorded 18 hits, including seven for extra bases, in the two games against the Gorlok  pitching.

In the opener  Clark Sims led off the bottom of the 10th with a triple and Mark Vlaskamp hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Sims to win the game for Hendrix.

Collin Radack, Nathan Harr and senior Andrew Thames recorded two hits each for the Warriors. 

Sophomore reliever Justin Mosbey (1-0)  struck out six, allowing two hits, one unearned run and one walk in 4.2 innings of relief to pick up the win.

In the nightcap, Hendrix scored nine unanswered runs, including eight in the sixth, to overcome a 5-0 deficit. 

Raskin went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three driven in to lead the Warriors. Thames also had two hits with two RBI and Radack knocked in three.
