BLANCO, Texas — Freshman Malin Senneryd sits in second place after two rounds of the 2012 Southland Conference Women’s Golf Championship being played at Vaaler Creek Golf Club.
Senneryd, from Linkoping, Sweden, shot a 2-over 74 on Tuesday to follow her 2-under 70 in Monday’s first round for a two-day total of 144. UTSA’s Shannon Jungman is in first place, one stroke in front of Senneryd.
UCA is third overall with rounds of 312-300-612. UTSA leads the field at 596, followed by Texas State at 598, UCA (612), Lamar (617), Sam Houston State (619), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (633), McNeese State (664) and Stephen F. Austin (669).
UCA sophomore Carly Dear is tied for 11th place at 89-74-154, while junior Julia Roth is tied for 16th at 79-77-156. Senior Gemma Hardie is tied for 19th (83-75-158) and senior Brooke Braun is in 29th (83-81-164).
The final round begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday
