GULF SHORES, Ala. — Cal State San Marcos ended Central Baptist College's season Monday night with a 4-0 victory in a losers bracket game in the NAIA National Softball Tournament.

Courtney Allen struck out 11 and limited the Lady Mustangs to four hits. CBC, which finished 53-8, managed only eight total hits in losses to Brenau (Ga.) and San Marcos (55-5) in Elite Eight games Monday after defeating Southeast Indiana, 2-1.

The Cougars had 10 hits.

The game halted in the sixth inning and suspended for two hours because of lightning and rain.

CBC entered the tournament ranked fourth in the nation; Cal State San Marcos was ranked sixth.
