The Hendrix College women's soccer lost to Sewanee - The University of the South 4-2 in Southern Athletic Association action at Warrior Field on Sunday afternoon.
Trailing 3-0, 5he Warriors (4-10-1, 0-5-1) scored on a Rebecca Rahn penalty kick in the 86th minute. The goal was the seventh of the year for the Little Rock native. After another Sewanee goal in the 88th minute, Hendrix freshman Hannah Sigda netted her first career goal with an assist from senior forward Mel Roach with 36 seconds remaining.
For the game, Sewanee outshot Hendrix 18-13 and had an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.
Freshman Rachel Zweig recorded five saves in the first half for the Warriors and freshman Emily Kleinfelter had two saves in the second period. Oliva Glascoe recorded three saves for the Tigers.
Hendrix will wrap up the conference schedule on Saturday when it hosts Rhodes College.
