The Hendrix College women's swimming and diving team placed fifth and the men were seventh at the 50th Annual Hendrix Relays at Bob Courtway Pool on Saturday.



After setting the school record on Friday, the women's 400-yard medley relay team of junior Jo Claire Robertson, sophomore Sydney Haldeman, and freshmen Bayley Krell and Caroline Forbes, placed third in 4:16.12. Senior Alanna Montgomery, sophomore Kaia Duke and Krell took fourth in the 300 breaststroke in 3:51.53.



The 4x200 freestyle relay team of senior Sheryl Burt, Forbes, Haldeman and Robertson recorded a time of 8:39.47, finishing fifth. Robertson and freshmen Kate Henricks and Sarah McHugh finished sixth in 3:21.85 in the 300 yard backstroke relay. Haldeman, senior Emily Hanson and sophomore Laura Price finished sixth in the 1500 yard free in 18:09.18. Krell, Robertson, Burt and Forbes were seventh in the 400 free in 4:02.91.



Burt, Forbes and sophomore Ava Commissariat were eighth in the 300-yard butterfly in 3:29.94. Sophomore Taylor Keplin, Haldeman, Hanson and McHugh were also eighth in the 500 freestyle relay in 5:25.44. Krell, Duke and Keplin finished 10th in the 300individual medley relay in 3:12.18. Henricks, Duke, Montgomery and Price were 10th with a 2:10.42 time in 200 yard medley relay. In the 200 freestyle, Keplin, Duke, Commissariat and McHugh finished 11th in 1:58.80.



Oklahoma Baptist took first among the women's team with 488 points. They were followed by Henderson State (375), Arkansas-Little Rock (358), Texas-Permian Basin (334), Hendrix (286), Centenary (La.) (230), McMurry (150) and Austin (126).



For the Hendrix men, junior John Byford, sophomore Samuel Maynard and freshmen Dylan Rogers and James Gill took ninth in the 400 medley relay in 4:16.93. The 4x200 free team of Byford, Gill, Rogers and freshman Eric Mullins finished ninth in 8:07.74.



Gill, Mullins and sophomore Clayton Jacobs recorded a time of 3:58.89 in the 300 backstroke, placing 10th. Byford, Mullins and Rogers were also 10th in 3:12.1 in the 300 individual medley relay.



Maynard, Gill, Jacobs and Mullins swam the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:46.15. The 200  medley team of Gill, Jacobs, Maynard and Rogers were 13th in 2:04.81 and Byford, Mullins, Maynard and Jacbos finished 15th in the 400 yard freestyle relay in 3:51.14,

OBU also placed first in the men's field with 465 points, followed by HSU (403), UTPB (368), Centenary (324), McMurry (316), Austin (262) and Hendrix (170).
