WILMINGTON, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati Claremont College handed the Hendrix women their fifth straight defeat Sunday in  Fred Raizk Memorial Tournament.

The Cougrs (4-6) won, 72-56. The Warriors (0-5) shot just 28 percent for the game, while the Cougars (4-6) shot 48 percent.



The first half was even with six ties and 12 lead changes. Hendrix junior center Jamie Tate, who was selected to the all-tournament team, hit a pair of free throws with 48 seconds left in the first period to put the Warriors up 30-29. Stacie Lee scored on a lay-up just before the end of the half to give UCC a 31-30 advantage at the break.



The Cougars held on to the lead the entire second half, expanding the deficit to as much as 22.




Freshman guard Caitlin Krisel-Bigler scored a season-best 17 points to go with four rebounds and two assist to lead the Warriors. Freshman forward Katy Gallien scored 12 points, all in the first half, and pulled down five boards and had three steals. Tate ended up with 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals.



Hendrix will open Southern Athletic Association play at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. on Wednesday night.
