Conway's Jarvis Garner hit 3-pointers in the final seconds of both regulation and overtime — the first from 30 feet with .4 left and the second a bank shot frm 24 feet — and led the University of Central Arkansas Bears to a 103-98 triple-overtime victory over McNeese State on Thursday night at the Farris Center.
Garner was 14 of 19 from the field, six of nine from 3-point range on the way to 38 points and 15 rebounds.
It was the first time the Bears (7-10, 2-5) have won back-to-back Southland Conference games in a year. McNeese State fell to 8-9, 2-5.
LaQuentin Miles added 25 points for UCA.
Trailing 97-96 in the third overtime, the Bears pulled away on a stuff by DeShone McClure, a lane move and a basketby Garner after a rebound and free throws by Garner and McClure.
UCA hosts Lamar, winless in conference play and 2-17 overall, on Saturday.
