NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt, ranked No. 2 in the nation by Baseball America, romped past the University of Central Arkansas, 10-2, here Wednesday.

The Commodores broke the game open with four runs on four hits in the fifth.

Clint Green (0-1) took the loss for the Bears (3-1), throwing four plus innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out three Commodores. Conway's John Kordsmeier combined to finish out the fifth inning, allowing one run on one hit.

Walker Buehler made his first collegiate start for Vanderbilt working four innings while giving up one run on two hits. He struggled with command at times, walking eight Bears, but also struck out six batters.
