Lamar University salvaged the final game of a three-game series with UCA on Saturday with a 3-2 victory in 11 innings.

The start of the contest was delayed by three hours because of rain.

UCA (21-7, 2-4) jumped to a 2-0 lead with a run and a home run in the third by Blake Marchal.

The Cardinals pulled with 2-1 in the fourth on a home run by Sam Bumpers.

Lamar tied the game with two outs in the ninth on a single, a groundout and two wild pitches.

The Cardinals plated what proved to be the winning run in the 11th, on two walks a single an a bases-loaded single by Brad Picha.

Bryce Biggerstaff worked 10 innings for the Bears, scattering nine hits. Griffin Claude took the loss in relief.

The Bears host Arkansas-Little Rock at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
