PEARCY — Vilonia’s James Sax won two hurdle events Saturday night in leading the efforts by Faulkner County Athletes in the Meet of Champs at Lake Hamilton High School.

Sax won the 110 and 300 hurdles and finished second to Benton’s Zach Riley in the 200. Houston Cotton of Vilonia finishes third behind Sax in the 300 hurdles.

Kyle Wyatt made in a triple-victory night for Vilonia athletes with a victory in the pole vault at 15-4.

The meet brings together the top finishers of state track meets of the seven classifications as well as other top times.

Jimmal Burgess of Conway was second to Sax in the 110 hurldes, .04 seconds behind at 14.76. He was second to Dalton Oates ofJ Jessieville in the high jump at 6-4.

Alex Ebmeyer of Vilonia was second to Teven Whitney of Fayetteville at 1:56.55.

Elvis Stewart and DJ Alven of Conway finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 400. Stewart was fifth in the long jump.

Other finishes by Faulkner County athletes were:
