North LR at CABOT (6): Game of the Week.

Conway at BENTONVILLE (16): Conway last played Bentonville in 2009, losing to the Tigers 42-0. The Wampus Cats last played for a state title in 1993, losing to Pine Bluff 42-6. Bentonville has played in the past three state title games and scored its best offensive performance of 2013 Friday with 510 yards in a 45-13 win over FS Southside. Junior Dylan Smith ran for a season-high 285 yards, giving him 1,171 yards this season. Bentonville coach Barry Lunney moves to 10th among all-time winningest coaches in Arkansas with a victory (238). Conway sophomore Breylin Smith completed 15 of 24 passes for 337 yards and four TDs in last week’s 52-42 win over Springdale Har-Ber. Smith must have a big night passing at Bentonville for Conway to have a shot. Bentonville beat Har-Ber 45-20 in the West conference opener Sept. 27.

Pine Bluff at GREENWOOD (7): Pine Bluff has won four in a row since a 21-14 loss at El Dorado. The Zebras lost seven turnovers and were held scoreless in the second half at El Dorado. Last week, Pine Bluff totaled 308 yards in a 35-7 win over Siloam Springs. Greenwood generated 529 total yards in last year’s 51-44 win over Pine Bluff to claim its third straight state championship. The Bulldogs, riding a 50-game win streak, average 428 yards and 43 points weekly this fall.

Arkadelphia at WARREN (7) Maumelle at VALLEY VIEW (1): Both advance to the quarterfinals for the first time. Maumelle has beaten defending Class 4A champion Stuttgart and Lonoke by a combined 65-23 the past two weeks. Valley View has beaten 1-4A opponents Gravette (35-7) and Prairie Grove (14-12) the past two weeks.

Star City at DOLLARWAY (13): These teams were members of the 8-4A or its equivalent from 1991-1997 and 2002-2011. Dollarway has won seven of the past 10 over the Bulldogs, including 36-29 in 2011, which secured Dollarway a playoff spot. Undefeated Dollarway gives up 14 points per game, shutting out five opponents this year.

Lincoln at BOONEVILLE (9): Cinderella Lincoln advances to the quarterfinals for the first time in school history after notching its only two playoff wins (over Nashville and Malvern) the past two weeks. Undefeated Booneville beat every opponent by at least 14 points this year.

WEEK 13 PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS Charleston at HARDING ACADEMY (1): These teams own a combined 102 playoff wins and eight state championships. Charleston’s three titles have come over the past nine seasons (2005, 2008 and 2011). Harding Academy claimed its fifth state championship last year and finished runner-up in 2010.

Earle at HOXIE (1): Earle’s utilized its size and speed in the Single Wing the past two weeks along with the return of senior RB C.J. Garrett (5-9, 235) to reach the quarterfinals for the second time in three years.

Green Forest at GLEN ROSE (21): This game will be played at Benton Harmony Grove due to poor field conditions at Glen Rose. Green Forest has eliminated Riverview (28-0) and Two Rivers (36-21) to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2004.

Episcopal at SMACKOVER (7): Episcopal has defeated 6-3A members Fouke (27-21) and Prescott (14-6) to reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 2005. Smackover has beaten Paris and Melbourne by an average of 25 points the past two weeks to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2008.

BEARDEN (9) at E. Poinsett County: These two last met in the 2011 quarterfinals at Lepanto where EPC took advantage of seven Bearden turnovers to win 12-6.

Hector at JUNCTION CITY (28): Coach David Carpenter told the El Dorado News-Times that the three weeks off (Week 10 open date and Week 11 bye) "was a killer. You could tell the whole game we’d been off for three weeks." That’s not good news for opponents standing between the Dragons and their third consecutive state title.

Rison at CARLISLE (1): Welcome to smashmouth central. Rison statistician Stan Sadler has Rison (36.2 ppg) rushing for 4.066 yards this year on 657 attempts (6.2 ypc). The Wildcats allow just 2.7 yard per rushing attempt.

Carlisle counters with senior RBs Deron Ricks (1,590 yards, 18 TDs) and Bo Weddle (1,104 yards, 21 TDs). Junior QB Chase Brazeal has managed games well in place of injured senior QB Austin Reed (knee).
