GREENBRIER — Greenbrier’s girls took a 55-43 victory Tuesday over Sheridan in high school basketball.

Kory Westerman led the Lady Panthers with 16 points. Autumn Russell had 14 and Kenzie Batterton 13.


St. Joseph basketball teams powered to victories Tuesday night over Western Yell County in their conference openers at the St. Joseph Family Activity Center.

The Bulldogs (11-4) won 47-30.

Drake Cooper led with 15 points and seven rebounds. Landon Enderlin added 10 points and five rebounds. Nash Nichols had seven points and three steals. Dylan Schrekenhofer had six points and Williams Fields five. Jensen Thielke had four points. Taylor Schrekenhofer added three assists and two steals.

"I was very proud of our focus and intensity, especially on the defensive end of the floor," said coach Brent Bruich. "We did a great job on containing the drive and rebounding. I was proud of how we started the game. We set the tone with a solid first quarter. That was a good conference win for us."

The Lady Bulldogs (11-3) romped, 53-16.

Madeline Moix had 15 points, five steals and three assists. Rachel Briggler had 12 points, five steals and five assists. Anna Mayor and Meagan Briggler added six each. Monica Davanzo had six rebounds and four assists.

"We had good balance on offense; this was a good win for our first conference game," said St. Joseph coach Chris Kordsmeier.

St. Joseph won the junior girls game, 29-8. Amber Briggler and Joanie Elsinger had 10 points each. Rachell Prall had six.


PERRYVILLE — Mayflower’s boys remained unbeaten in conference play Tuesday with a 67-42 victory over Perryville.

Jerry Perry led the Eagles (12-3, 4-0) with 18 points. Drew Duncan had 17.

Perryville won the senior girls game, 52-49. Jessica Webb had 15 points and five steals. Tierra Lasker had 14 points and LonJanae Wyatt at nine points.

Mayflower won the junior girls game, 49-25. Tori Lasker led Mayflower in scoring with 17 points. Tristen Lasker scored 11 points, Marissa Harper had nine points, and PJ Taylor had seven points.

The junior girls will play at home against Bigelow on Thursday night.

The senior teams host Glen Rose on Friday in their basketball homecoming games.
