Conway golfers Wednesday went through their final warmup matches at The Links at Cadron Valley before the 7A state tournaments.

Tim and Chase Netherton recorded the top boys scores as the CHS boys won at 164 strokes. Chase Netherton was medalist with 37, while Tim was second at 38. Parker Rice came in at 44, followed by Tyler Pinney, 45; and Austin Smith, 45.

Russellville was second at 167, followed by Conway White, 169, and Conway Blue, 184.

Conway White scores were: Tanner Bezet, 40; Austin Tate, 42; Justin Walker, 43; Blake Darnell, 44; and Carson Roberts, 47.

Scores for Conway Blue were: Tyler Bacon, 43; Luke Baker, 45; JP Wade, 47; and Mason McAlexander, 49.

Libby Croom of Russellville was girls medalist at 46, followed by Conway’s Bryce Wolfe, 48. Neither Russellville nor Mount St. Mary fielded a full team.

Other CHS girls scores were: Brooke Lea, 52; Tristan Jenkins and Morgan Clark, 54; and Allison Ellen, 61. Emily Lock fired a 60 for the junior varsity squad.

The 7A girls state tournament is Sept. 26-27 at Fayetteville Country Club. The boys tournament is Oct. 3-4, also at Fayetteville CC.
