Conway’s girls tennis team beat Pulaski Academy in a nonconference tennis match at the University of Central Arkansas courts Monday.  

The Lady Cats were led by Leah Riner and Beth Turner, who won their singles matches 8-2 and 8-4, respectively, and by the doubles teams of Amy Bell and Morgan Cummins (8-4 winners) and Ashley Wofford and Jenny Walls (8-3 winners and 8-2 winners). 

In other girls action, Alex Taylor lost 8-3; Faith Guidry lost 8-4 and Kortni Gifford lost 8-4. Molly Evans and Maegan Langley also lost 8-2 in doubles.   

In boys play, PA took seven of nine matches. Kyle Alexander was the lone singles winner for Conway at 8-3. In other singles matches Karthik Garimella lost 8-0; Robbie Powell lost 8-0 and Nik Spadjer lost 8-2. In doubles play the team of Ryan Edwards and Jared Lambert won 8-3. Other doubles results were Sam Roberts and Kristian Lenser lost 8-2; Quinlan Swain and Blake Bell lost 8-0; Matt Evans and Will Morris lost 8-5 and Jacob Fahr and Lincoln Reynolds lost 8-2.
