Both Wampus Cat tennis squads swept Russellville in non-conference play at the UCA courts on Tuesday.  

The boys team won all of its singles matches and lost only at number two doubles while the girls swept its matches.  

"After our tough matches with Pulaski Academy yesterday, I thought we looked better today against an improved Russellville squad," said Conway Coach Jeff Gifford.  "Our Conference meet is coming up quickly and we want to play as much good competition as we can."

Boys singles

Karthik Garimella won 8-2; Robbie Powell won 8-3; Nik Spadjer won 8-2; Kyle Alexander won 8-5 

Boys doubles

Sam Roberts and Kristian Lenser won 8-3; Blake Bell and Quinlan Swain lost 8-2 

Girls singles

Alex Taylor won 8-1; Leah Riner won 8-1

Girls doubles

Amy Bell and Morgan Cummins won 8-4; Ashley Wofford and Jenny Walls won 8-2.
