RUSSELLVILLE — The Conway Lady Cats dropped a 7A-Central Conference game at Russellville 56-50 Tuesday night.

Taylor Gault led the Lady Cats with 31 points. Enjonae Chambers and Quay Allen-Smith had nine points each.

With the loss, Conway moved to 15-2 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.

The Lady Cats will host Mount St. Mary on Friday.


VILONIA — The Vilonia teams split a pair of home 5A-West Conference games with Harrison on Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles cruised to a 54-22 victory to move to 6-0 in conference play.

Vilonia took control early and never looked back, leading 34-10 at halftime.

Catherine Puckett led the Lady Eagles with 20 points and five rebounds. Betsy Bartlett had 17 points, three steals and three assists. Julie Stanley chipped in seven rebounds, and Maggie Breewer added four assists.

Harrison won the boys game 56-50.

Vilonia led often, but a 16-10 run in the third quarter helped the Goblins go on for the win.

Trevor Martin had 17 for the Eagles, and Cody Brewer scored 10.

Vilonia will play at Siloam Springs on Friday.


Conway Blue defeated Cabot South, 52-40, Monday in ninth-grade girls basketball. 

Abrenna Ester led all scorers with 10 points, two steals and three rebounds. Hope Isom had nine points and three rebounds. Tanisha Jones contributed seven points, two steals and three rebounds. Sidney Mitchum had six points, four steals, four rebounds and one block. Deborah Downs also had six points, two steals, two assists and three rebounds. Madison Leach had four points, two steals and four rebounds.

Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Kittens were: Gabbi Roark, Alyssa Strickland, Tranea Thomas, Micaela Norment, and Fallen Middleton with two each. Taylor Person and Patricia Omolo each had two rebounds. Norment and Roark also had three rebounds each and two steals.

"I was very proud of how we played tonight," Conway Blue coach Shannon Thomey said. "It was a fun game to watch. The girls played really well tonight. We are getting better every time we go out on the floor."



Conway White defeated Conway Blue, 53-49 in a makeup ninth-grade girls basketball game.

Sidney Mitchum led the Blue with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Breanna Ester had seven points, two steals and two assists. Micaela Norment had seven points, four rebounds and two steals.

Deborah Downs also contributed with seven points, three rebounds and one assist. Other highlights: Alyssa Strickland, five points, three rebounds, three steals, one assist. Tanisha Jones, two points, four rebounds and a steal; Madison Leach, four rebounds, two steals; and Hope Ison, two rebounds and a steal. 

"We played a tough game and almost pulled it out," Thomey said. ""We shot 22-27 from the free throw line — that is the best we have shot from the free-throw line all year. We turned the ball over too much — but continued to play to the very end. I was very proud of the girls for continuing to play has a team and support each other."


Conway White defeated Bryant 51-45 Monday night.

Sidney Moore led the way with 22 points for the Kittens. Jaylen Jones finished with eight, and Dustin Tims had seven.



The Vilonia Lady Eagles defeated Greenbrier junior girls Monday night  46-19. Allie Pack led the Lady Panthers with 11 points. 

In the eight-grade girls game, the Lady Eagles won 20-18. Kodie Simone led the Lady Panthers with six points.


GUY — The Conway Christian junior boys took a 35-31 win over Guy-Perkins on Monday night.

Caleb Dather led the Junior Eagles with a double-double performance of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Luke Beckman had six points, while Caleb Pope had five points and six rebounds.


GUY — The Conway Christian seventh-grade boys defeated Guy-Perkins 32-29 Monday night.

Aaron Griffin had 14 points to lead the Eagles. JonMark Wood added seven points, while Jacob Henry and Alex Reith had five points each.

On Saturday, Conway Christian defeated Anhony 39-25.

Reith led with 11 points, while Henry and Griffin had nine points each. Wood finished with five.



Mayflower took a pair of wins over St. Joseph in junior high action Monday night.

The Junior Lady Eagles won the junior girls game 34-32.

Meagan Briggler led St. Joseph with 13 points. Rachel Briggler scored eight, while Anna Mayor and Abby Kordsmeier had four points each.

In the boys game, Mayflower took a 53-48 win.

Landon Enderlin paced the Junior Bulldogs with 13 points. Drake Cooper had 12 points and seven rebounds, while William Fields scored nine points. Dylan Schrekenhofer scored six points, grabbed five rebounds and had three steals. Nash Nichols also scored six points.



St. Joseph defeated Mayflower in seventh-grade boys play Monday night.

Landon Bruich scored 11 points for the Bulldogs, and Nathan Hambuchen had five.

Mayflower won the girls game 18-17.

Sammi Foster led the Lady Bulldogs with seven points. Mary Rose Seibenmorgan finished with five.
