The Greenbrier volleyball team defeated Huntsville 25-23, 2-13, 12-25, 25-21 Thursday to remain in fourth place in the 5A-West Conference.

The Lady Panthers (10-10, 5-5) will play Morrilton, which is currently fifth in the league, Tuesday in a pivotal conference match with the state tournament looming. 

Haleigh Barnard led Greenbrier with 30 digs and had two blocks. Brittany Merritt and Abbey Holley had 23 and 16 digs, respectively.

Kari Gipson was perfect on serves, finishing 20-for-20, and added 25 digs and a pair of blocks. Samantha Tillman finished with 13 kills, 52 digs and four blocks. MacKenzie Neumeier and Hannah Porter both had 21 assists each. Neumeier also had 33 digs and eight kills, while Porter finished with 21 digs, 11 kills and two blocks.

The Lady Panthers also won the junior varsity match, taking a 25-19, 25-23 decision. MaKenzi Burro had 20 digs and three kills, while Lexi Livingston was 11-of-11 on serves to go along with seven assits. Payton Starkey added six assists, and Haley Heacox had four kills.
