The Greenbrier boys raced to their second straight cross country title last week by winning at the Harding Academy meet at Harding University.
Greenbrier placed three runners in the top 10 and six in the top 16. Crowley’s Ridge Academy took second place.
Pacing the Panthers was Corey Powers with a time of 16:54.92 and a fourth-place finish. Austin Sitzes ran a 17:27.81, taking eighth place and Ryan Treat finished in 10th place overall at 17:47.35. One other Panther broke 18 minutes, Foster Hines at 17:49.41 finish. The rest of the victorious Panther runners were Miles Wassner, Jeremiah Valdez, Alec Steele, Rayce Baker, Lane Dyer, Jared Mckenzie, Ryan Beegle and William Ferguson.
The Panther girls did not field enough runners to compete for the team title, but did have four runners place. Reagan Fix led the way for the girls with a 20th-place overall finish and a 23:15.3 time. Her other three teammates all broke 25 minutes. Brooklyn Freeling ran a 24:08.98, Charlene Lasley finished in 24:09.65 and Shelby Hammett finished in a time of 24:55.91.
