Bates Field and Stream (501-470-1846) said the water is stained and at normal level. Bream are slow. Crappie are biting well on minnows and jigs around grass and woody cover. Bass are biting well on spinnerbaits fished around woody cover in 12 inches of water to 10 feet of water. Catfishing is slow.

Dan at Gold Creek Landing (501-607-0590) said the water is one foot low, which is the winter level. Crappie have slowed but are still biting. Bream are fair. Catfishing is fair.

Little Red River

Lindsey’s Resort (501-302-3139) said the water is high with two generators running. Trout are biting well on spinners and Rapalas. Bait fishing is slow due to the current.

Greers Ferry

As of Tuesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake’s elevation at 466.98  feet MSL (Normal conservation pool - 461 MSL).

Tommy Cauley of Fish Finder Guide Service said the water level is falling and the surface temperature ranges from 47 to 53 degrees. White bass and hybrids are still biting well on a variety of baits if you can find them. Swim baits, hair jigs, in-line spinners and spoons are working well, as are Alabama rigs if you can keep it from breaking, Look for birds and use your electronics, look for fish anywhere from 25 feet deep out to 70 feet deep. No report on catfish. Crappie are biting well; they are suspended 15-35 feet deep over 60-80 feet of water near pole timber. Try jigs and jigs tipped with minnows. No report on bream. Walleye are showing back up with the water clearing and can be caught with crankbaits, swimbaits and jigs tipped with minnows suspended in about 40 feet of water. Largemouth, spotted and smallmouth bass are biting well on football head jigs and Carolina-rigged Senkos and lizards deep and on spinnerbaits, small crankbaits and Texas-rigged centipedes shallow.

Harris Brake Lake

Harris Brake Lakeside Resort (501-889-2745) said the water is high and clear. Bream are slow. Crappie are excellent on minnows and jigs, and there are some really nice fish coming in. Bass are fair on a variety of lures. Catfishing is good on hot dogs, chicken liver and other prepared baits.

Whiskers Sporting Goods in Perryville (501-889-2011) said the water is high and a little stained. Crappie are biting excellently on the north side of the lake on minnows and dark-colored baby shad. Catfishing is good on minnows in shallow water. Bass are biting well on Rooster Tails and spinnerbaits. Bream are slow. 

Lake Overcup

Overcup Landing (501-354-9007) said the water is about a foot high and dingy. Crappie are biting well on white/chartreuse jigs and pearl Crappie Stingers around boat docks and brush piles. Bream are slow. Catfish are fair on large minnows and cut skipjack. Bass are slow.

Whiskers Sporting Goods (501-889-2011) said crappie are biting excellently on minnows and black/silver/white Bobby Garland Baby Shads on standard jig heads or Roadrunner jig heads.

Brewer Lake

Overcup Landing (501-354-9007) had no report.

Lake Maumelle

Jolly Roger’s Marina said the water level is 6 inches above the spillway and the water temperature is around 48 degrees. Largemouth bass are biting well on jigs, spoons and grubs in about 15 feet of water. Many small spotted bass are being caught on Rooster Tails and grubs in 15 feet of water. White bass are slow, but a few have been spotted around Jim’s Island and North Shore. Crappie are biting well on small jigs, colored grubs and pink minnows in 20 to 25 feet of water on the edges of channels. Bream are slow and are in the channels in 20 to 30 feet of water. Catfishing is slow.

Lake Valencia

Turbyfill’s Outdoor Sports (501-315-3061) said the water is clear and at normal level. All species are slow.

Saline River Access in Benton

Turbyfill’s Outdoor Sports (501-315-3061) said the water is stained and at normal level. Bass and walleye are biting well on crawdad crankbaits.

Vince Miller from Fish ’N Stuff said the water is muddy and at normal level. Bream are slow. Crappie are biting well on chartreuse and chartreuse/red jigs fished behind jetties. Bass are fair on crankbaits fished around rocks. Catfishing is slow. 

McSwain Sports Center (501-945-2471) said the water is stained and at normal level below Terry Lock and Dam. Bream are slow. Crappie are biting well on minnows. Bass are biting well on shallow-running crankbaits. Catfishing is good on skipjack and chicken liver.

Clear Lake

McSwain Sports Center (501-945-2471) said the water is clear and at normal levels. Bream are slow. Crappie are biting well on minnows and chartreuse/black jigs. Bass are slow. Catfish are slow.

Peckerwood Lake
