Former Conway High School volleyball standout Catherine Fowler has enrolled at the University of Hawaii for the spring semester, according to a press release from the UH Web site.
Fowler, the 2005 Log Cabin Democrat Volleyball Player of the Year, transferred after two seasons at the University of Arkansas. She played in 117 of the Lady Backs' 122 games last season, averaging 1.22 blocks and 1.52 kills per game.
Fowler was a two-time all-state selection with the Lady Cats and was ranked No. 26 in the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces list. She was also a member of the USA A2 Women's Junior National Team.
"Catherine is a seasoned player that will add depth for us at the middle hitter position," Hawaii coach Dave Shoji said in the release. "She has good range and appears to be a good blocker as well. She will have the most experience in the middle of our returning players next year."
