The March 8 Chase Race drew more than 400 registered runners between the 2-mile RRCA Championship race and the 1-mile event for those with leashed pets, and an additional 75-plus volunteers who made the event work.

In spite of the very cold morning, we had many volunteers from groups such as Kohl's, Conway Therapy Services, Best Buy, PetSmart, Conway Police Department, Hendrix Students, Faulkner Co. Emergency Squad, Brownies, the Conway Running Club and many individuals; unfortunately too many to name here. Please be sure that your work did not go unnoticed and all of the charitable good that has come from it is sincerely appreciated! Good things just don't happen, "Good Volunteers" like yourself make things good.

Between our special sponsors, contributors, participants and volunteers, over $5,000 was raised for Brain Trauma Research at Children's Hospital and the Friends of the Conway Animal Shelter. The fourth annual Chase Race is scheduled for March 7, 2009. Big plans have already begun...we've even ordered a little warmer weather!
