 |
The Conway Adult Education Center (CAEC) will once again sponsor "GED in a Weekend" April 4 and 5, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
The center hosts this event only twice per year once in the fall and again in the spring. The purpose of this weekend testing is to give people who work or cannot come in for classes during the week an opportunity to begin the process of getting their GED or Arkansas High School Diploma during the weekend. The ultimate goal is to help enable people in Faulkner County complete this piece of their education so they can enter post-secondary education, become employed and/or retain or improve their current job.
Last fall, more than 100 people responded to local advertisements publicizing the details, and more than 30 new students successfully passed their GED.
All testing, educational materials and services are free.
Call 450-4810 for more information regarding "GED in a Weekend" or other services offered at the Conway Adult Education Center or e-mail rawill@conwaycorp.net.
